TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 6. Uzbekistan imported a total of 138,933 air conditioners worth $37 million during the first five months of 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's National Statistics Agency indicates that China accounted for the overwhelming majority of shipments, supplying 132,657 units. Other significant contributors included Kazakhstan (3,362 units), Türkiye (1,544), Italy (295), and the Republic of Korea (265). An additional 810 units of climate control equipment were imported from various other countries.
The increase in imports comes as demand for cooling systems rises across the country, driven by higher temperatures and ongoing construction of residential and commercial facilities.
