BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22. Iran’s western Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province exported 103,000 tons of goods worth $49 million in the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2025), Mazahir Rabiei, the head of the province’s customs administration, told reporters, Trend reports.
According to Rabiei, the province’s exports during this period rose by 13.5 percent in value compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through June 20, 2024).
He noted that the main export items included petrochemical products, agricultural goods, household items, and steel products. These were primarily shipped to Türkiye, Iraq, India, and Uzbekistan.
The official also stated that the province imported 13,000 tons of goods valued at $17 million during the same period. The imports mainly consisted of production equipment, spare parts, and raw materials, sourced from China, the UAE, Tajikistan, India, and South Korea.
The customs chief added that revenue collected by the province’s customs office over the three months reached 1.86 trillion rials (about $3.22 million), marking a 48 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) shows that Iran exported 34.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $11.7billion during the first quarter of the Iranian year. Compared to the same period in the previous year, the country’s non-oil exports decreased by 14.4 percent in value and 9.3 percent in weight.
Moreover, Iran imported 9 million tons of non-oil goods worth $13 billion during the same period, reflecting a decline of 11.7 percent in value and 4.35 percent in weight year-on-year.
