BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23. Design work has officially begun on the construction of new metro stations in Azerbaijan's Baku as part of the expansion of the city’s underground transport system, Trend reports.
The project includes the construction of tunnels and stations along the Green Line between stations Y14 and Y17, as well as along the Purple Line from stations B5 to B8. It will also cover the separation of the Green and Red Lines, and the development of a transfer chamber, return tunnel, and underground car park at the “Icherisheher” station.
Baku Metro Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) has finalized the relevant planning procedures and entrusted the execution of the design phase to "Yüksel Proje" LLC, with a formal contract signed between the parties.
Under the agreement, the company has been paid 35.4 million manat ($20.8 million) for the design services.
"Yüksel Proje" LLC, which was registered in 2024, has a charter capital of 100 manat ($58.8). The company is legally represented by Ersen Mukremin.
