TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 14. The Governor of Uzbekistan's Fergana region, Khairullo Bozorov, met with a delegation led by Ma Zhengshan, head of the Chinese company Heecheng Construction Group Co., Ltd., and reached an agreement to develop a roadmap for the implementation of investment projects in the energy sector, Trend reports.

During the meeting, Chinese investors proposed the construction of wind and solar power plants in the region. Heecheng Construction Group operates across the oil and gas, chemical, construction, and installation industries, and is actively engaged in new energy projects, including wind and solar power generation, as well as energy storage technologies.

Meanwhile, bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and China continues to grow rapidly. In the previous fiscal year, trade exceeded $14 billion, representing a 23 percent increase since the beginning of 2025. This robust growth underscores the strengthening economic ties between the two countries and highlights China’s role as one of Uzbekistan’s most important and reliable partners.
