One of the largest Kazakh banks - Eurasian Bank increased profit by 12 times in 2011, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported referring to the bank's consolidated financial statement according to Kazakh National Bank requirements.
The bank received 6.515 billion tenge ($44 million) net profit in 2011 compared to 554 million ($3.7 million) tenge in 2010.
The bank's assets in this period increased by 5 percent to 375.175 billion tenge ($2.54 billion), liabilities increased by 3.6 percent to 343.342 billion tenge ($2.32 billion).
The bank equity increased by 24 percent to 31.8 billion tenge (215 million) in 2011.
The main shareholder of Eurasian Bank is Eurasian Financial Company, which holds 99.67 bank shares.
