Azerbaijan will move to Euro-4 ecological standards for vehicles bypassing Euro-3 standards, Director of Standardization and Certification Institute of State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents, Sabig Abdullayev said at a press conference on Jan.15.

The application of the standard will begin April 1, 2014, according to Abdullayev.

This will affect both imported cars and the cars produced in the country.

Russian-made cars can be imported into the country if they comply with Euro-4 standard.
