Non-life insurance collections amounted to 340.2 million manats in Azerbaijan in 2016, said the country’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) Feb. 27.
FIMSA said the share of non-life insurance in the total volume of collections was 69.8 percent in 2016.
Payments on non-life insurance reached 142.27 million manats (60 percent of all payments).
One reinsurance and twenty-one insurance companies operate in Azerbaijan.
The official exchange rate is 1.7475 AZN/USD on Feb. 27.
