Uzbek Ipak Yuli joint-stock investment commercial bank started the procedure of registration of principal membership in MasterCard International, the bank stated on June 14.
The bank has already signed the necessary agreement and is currently collecting documents for registration of the principal membership. The registration procedures will be completed in the near future.
The principal membership in MasterCard International will allow the bank's customers to use a single service account for three payment systems – Visa, UnionPay and MasterCard.
All ATMs of the bank will operate both Visa and MasterCard cards, and partner banks will be able to use the processing services of Ipak Yuli through the MasterCard system.
In 2006, the Ipak Yuli bank became an associate member of the Visa International system, and in 2008 received principal membership in the Visa International and Chinese UnionPay.
MasterCard Worldwide and MasterCard Incorporated are international payment systems with over 22,000 member financial institutions in 210 countries. MasterCard is the second largest payment system in terms of the number of issued bank cards and payment points.
