Uzbekistan and Luxembourg signed a protocol on air traffic, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn signed the document during the visit to Uzbekistan.
The document will contribute to the legal streamlining of cargo, passenger and charter flights between two countries.
The protocol will allow Luxembourg Cargolux to carry out transit cargo transportation to Asian countries from 2020 through the international intermodal logistics center Navoi.
Moreover, the delegation held a meeting at Uzbek Ministry of Transport.
First Deputy Transport Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov welcomed the guests and spoke about the country's ongoing reforms to develop the transport and logistics sector in Central Asia, as well as about the activities, structure, goals and objectives of the ministry.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the areas of mutual interests of Uzbekistan and Luxembourg meaning transport, logistics and transit.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to develop cooperation projects in these areas.
