More than 50 strategic commodities of the utilities sector in Iran, have been manufactured domestically by Iranian knowledge-based companies in the current Iranian year (ends on March 21, 2020).
“We have been working with knowledge-based companies to address the challenges of the water and electricity industry,” Director-General of the mother company Satkab affiliated with Iran's Ministry of Energy Mohammad-Vali Alaeddini said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"By launching several startup events and identifying the required commodities in this sector, we have succeeded in localizing strategic commodities in collaboration with knowledge-based companies,” he said.
“Previously, these commodities were mostly imported,” he added.
Alaeddinini stated that there are currently about 500 knowledge-based companies operating in the utilities industry of Iran, 160 of which are active in the electricity industry and the rest are operating in the water industry.
He went on to point out the decline in the prices of domestic products in some sectors of the utilities industry.
