The Iran-India trade is ongoing during COVID-19, via ships, the Vice Chairman of Iran - India Chamber of Commerce Parham Rezaie Nayeb told Trend.
"The major problems in trade are currently the domestic transit between cities in India that have logistic issues, but there are no obstacles for India's foreign trade," he said.
"The other issue is India's delay in payments to Iran. The volume of India's trade with the world is considerable and the country needs to pay its previous debts," he said.
Nayeb said that currently trade is ongoing, money transaction is active, so the remaining problem is with the cargo logistics in Indian ports.
"The money transactions between Iran and India is done via the Central Bank, IDBI Bank and UCO Bank," he said.
"Direct flights of Iranian airlines to India including Iran Air and Mahan Air have not been re-launched yet but the trade with India is being done via ships, which is going on without delays," he said.
"The cargos that were stored at ports of India during the coronavirus spread in the past months have been transported," he added.
"Iran's export to India mostly is petrochemical and agricultural products, alongside technical and engineering services," he said.
