Ukraine, Kiev, Dec. 15 / corr. Trend Z. Novosvitski / In January-November 2008 production of motor petroleum was reduced by 24.6% to 2.93mln tons as compared to the same period of 2007 in Ukraine, the Ukrainian State Committee on Statistics said.
Over the first 11 months of 2008 the production of diesel oil was reduced by 16.6% to 3.3mln tons as compared to the same period of 2007 in Ukraine, the State Committee on Statistics said. Production of fuel oil was reduced by 32.1% to 2.16mln tons.
In 2007 production of motor petroleum was increased by 6% to 4.16 mln tons as compared to 2006 in Ukraine, but production of diesel oil was reduced by 2.8% to 4.1mln tons. Production of fuel oil was reduced by 9.6% to 3.4mln tons in Ukraine last year.
So, six refineries with total processing capacity of 51.11mln tons of oil per year operate in Ukraine.
