Kazakhstan increases gasoline production in first half of 2012

Kazakhstan increased gasoline production by 17 percent in January-June 2012 compared to the same period of 2011, the Kazakh Statistics agency reported.

In the reporting period Kazakhstan produced 1.5 million tons of gasoline.

Oil and gas condensate production decreased by 1.4 percent in the first half of 2012 compared to the same period of 2011, natural gas production increased by 2.7 percent to 20.5 billion cubic meters.

In January- June 2012 Kazakhstan also increased ferroalloys production (by 0.3 percent to 0.8 million tons), refined copper production (by 1.8 percent to 169,400 tons, electricity production (by 4.8 percent to 45.6 billion kWh) and cement production (by 10.8 percent to 3.8 million tons).

Flat-rolled metals production decreased by 1.4 percent to 1.5 million tons.
