The daily volume of gas supplied to the population of Azerbaijan amounted to 19.07 million cubic meters as of March 27, 2014, compared to 21 million cubic meters as of March 7, the Azerigaz Production Association of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told Trend on March 27.
The production association is engaged in the distribution and sale of gas to consumers across Azerbaijan.
The daily volume of gas consumption in Baku amounted to 11.8 million cubic meters as of March 27, Azerigaz said.
"The daily gas consumption in the country's regions amounted to 7.3 million cubic meters as of March 27," the production association said.
The total number of Azerbaijan's gas operator's customers amounted to 1,676,885 as of March 1, 2014. Some 1,656,397 of that total were residential and 20,488 from other categories. Around 711,487 gas customers fell to Baku while 965,398 fell to other regions of the country.
