Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR transferred more than 1.511 billion manats to the state budget in 2017 as compared to more than 1.395 billion manats in 2016, SOCAR said in a message Jan. 18.
The company transferred 1.48 billion manats to the state budget in 2015.
SOCAR transfers to the state budget rose by 8.3 percent in 2017 as compared to 2016.
SOCAR includes such production associations as Azneft (the enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerikimya (the chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributes gas produced in the country), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies, and the facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
