Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company SOCAR has produced 1.7 billion cubic meters of gas independently with its own resources in the second quarter of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the company.
SOCAR said that during the reporting period, the company independently with its own resources produced more than 1.9 million tons of oil.
In addition, the company said that in general, the volume of drilling operations has increased as compared to the same period of 2018. The volume of drilling operations conducted by SOCAR in the second quarter of this year exceeded 41,000 meters.
In general, during the reporting period, more than 9 million tons of oil and more than 8 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in Azerbaijan by SOCAR together with other production companies.
First Vice-President of SOCAR, academician Khoshbakht Yusifzade said Azerbaijan expects a 20 percent growth in gas production until the end of 2019.
