BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. Georgia has imported 899.84 million cubic meters of natural gas from Azerbaijan, valued at $133.379 million, from January through July 2024, Trend reports.
According to calculations based on data from the National Statistical Office of Georgia, this represents a 32 percent decrease in value and a 12 percent decrease in volume compared to the same period in 2023.
Azerbaijan took the top spot as the cream of the crop when it comes to exporting natural gas to Georgia.
Overall, Georgia imported 1.29 billion cubic meters of natural gas worth $238.2 million from foreign countries during the reporting period, reflecting a decrease of 18 percent in volume and 7 percent in value compared to the previous year.
