In January-September 2018, 574,315 mobile phones and other mobile devices operating in wireless networks worth $60,250.5 million have been imported to Azerbaijan, the State Statistics Committee told Trend Nov. 16.
The committee stressed that over nine months of 2018, the number of mobile phones imported into the country has increased by almost 8 percent compared to January-September 2017 (during the reporting period, 532,137 mobile devices were imported into the country). In value terms, this figure has also increased by 29.7 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, on average, 64,000 mobile devices have been imported monthly into the country.
The monthly volume of the mobile phone market in value terms has exceeded $6.69 million.
