Azerbaijan’s Azericard processing center is starting to create a backup DATA center in the country’s Ganja city, a source in the Azericard told Trend.
This is included in the center’s plan for this year and the work in this direction will be implemented in stages.
“The backup DATA center will be a full-fledged processing center with access to international payment systems,” the source said. “Everything that exists in our main infrastructure in Baku, will be created in Ganja.”
Azericard is the first processing center in Azerbaijan, fully certified by international payment systems MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, UnionPay and JCB.
Azericard processes 21 banks, both in Azerbaijan and beyond. The center is engaged in the implementation of such projects as payment for services of telecommunications companies, utilities, customs duties and taxes, mobile and internet banking, card-to-card cashless transfers (Kart Transfer, VISA Direct, MasterCard Money Send) etc.
