BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 4. A grand total of 31,558 tourists from Türkiye graced the shores of Azerbaijan, their numbers blossoming by four percent compared to the previous year's harvest of travelers.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan shows that 32,890 tourists from Türkiye visited Azerbaijan in the same period last year.
The data indicate that 389,173 tourists from Türkiye visited Azerbaijan from January through November this year, which is 14 percent higher than the figure for the same period of 2023 (341,832 people).
Meanwhile, 2,412,160 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in the reporting period of the current year, which is 27 percent more than the figure for the same period of 2023 (1,892,165).
As many as 2,086,548 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in 2023, which is more than 30.2 percent higher than the figure for 2022 (1,602,600), including 378,204 from Türkiye, which is 21.27 percent higher than the figure for 2022 (311,880).
To note, a total of 1,957,285 people visited Azerbaijan from Türkiye during 2017-2023 (2017 - 301,553, 2018 - 291,259, 2019 - 316,404, 2020 - 160,513, 2021 - 197,472, 2022 - 311,880, 2023 - 378,204).
