BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 4. A total of 49,576 tourists from Russia visited Azerbaijan in November 2024, which is four percent higher than in the same period of 2023.
According to data obtained by Trend from the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, 47,794 tourists from Russia visited Azerbaijan in the same period last year.
As many as 679,903 tourists from Russia visited Azerbaijan from January through October this year, which is 18 percent higher than the figure for the same period of 2023 (577,759 people).
Meanwhile, 2,412,160 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in the reporting period of the current year, which is 27 percent more than in the same period of 2023 (1,892,165).
However, 2,086,548 foreign citizens visited Azerbaijan in 2023, which is more than 30.2 percent higher than the figure for 2022 (1,602,600), including 625,106 from Russia, which is 39.9 percent higher than the figure for 2022 (446,831).
To note, a total of 4,218,781 Russian citizens visited Azerbaijan in 2017-2023 (2017 - 853,082, 2018 - 878,391, 2019 - 932,198, 2020 - 225,214, 2021 - 257,959, 2022 - 446,831, and 2023 - 625,106).
