Turkmenistan’s production plan for the transport and communication sector was exceeded by 17 percent from January through September 2020, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan's State News Agency.
This was reported during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via videoconference.
The growth rate by Turkmenawtoulaglary Agency (Turkmen automobile service) increased by 3.4 percent, Turkmenistan Railway – 16.3 percent, and Turkmen Deniz Derya Yollary Agency (Turkmen State Service of Maritime and River Transportation) – 11.7 percent.
According to the report, Turkmenistan exceeded its cargo transportation by road, rail, air, and sea transport by 9.8 percent, passenger transportation 0.1 percent, and cargo turnover – by 15.3 percent during seven months of 2020.
