DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, May 10. Tajikistan produced 2,400 tons of gasoline in January–February 2025, marking a 9.8-fold increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) shows that diesel fuel production also showed notable growth, rising by 36 percent to reach 400 tons. Meanwhile, the production of fuel oil (mazut) edged up by 0.6 percent, also totaling 400 tons.
According to Tajikistan’s statistical agency, the country’s overall industrial output amounted to 13.846 billion somoni (approximately $1.3 billion) from January through March 2025 — an increase of 23.4 percent in constant prices year-on-year.
Tajikistan's industrial production surge was mainly due to a 1.8-fold increase in mineral extraction, a 2.1 percent increase in manufacturing, a 10 percent increase in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, and a 28.3 percent increase in water supply, waste treatment, and recycling services.
