BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Vortex Tools helps Uzbekistan reduce the environmental damage of gas flaring, make compressors more efficient, reduce vapor losses in oil tanks, and reduce freeze ups in gas lines and plants in winter, a source from the company told Trend.

The source from the company noted that Vortex Tools, a US oil and gas sector optimization company, improves recovery and reduces disposal costs in the treatment of process water.

“All Vortex Tools have no moving parts, so there are no ongoing operational expenses, maintenance, or additional energy source required to get the benefits (the company uses the energy of the well itself to improve flow). Vortex’s downhole tools increase production, reduce water problems in gas wells, reduce chemical use, and help sustain the flowing life of the well,” he said.

The representative of the company emphasized that, in regards to future markets, Vortex surface tools can also help Uzbekistan reduce the flaring of gas as waste and improve the recovery of condensate from gas. Vortex Tools can also be used to prevent freezing in winter and reduce vapor losses in Uzbekistan.

Vortex Tools is committed to supporting Uzbekistan’s market and developing strong partnerships with local groups and organizations with long-term cooperation and support.

“There are broader applications for Vortex Tools in water, air, agriculture, and many other sectors. Assuming growth goals are met, Vortex hopes to use Uzbekistan as its regional hub for other CIS countries’ markets and is seeking to build and expand its presence in the future. This may include the manufacturing of components and assemblies as well as technical support services,” the source from the company added.

Meanwhile, the volume of natural gas production in Uzbekistan amounted to 15.2 billion cubic meters from January through April 2024. This figure represents a decrease of 6.1 percent year-on-year (16.2 billion cubic meters in January–April 2023).
