TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 1. Uzbekistan exported beverages and tobacco worth $58.2 million from January through June 2024, Trend reports.
According to the data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this indicator shows a 12.2 percent decrease compared to the same period last year ($65.3 million in January–June 2023).
The export of beverages amounts to $24.4 million from January through June 2024, down 62.3 percent from the previous year ($39.6 million in January–June 2023).
At the same time, the volume of tobacco exports reached $33.9 million during this period. This figure has increased by 31.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year ($25.7 million in January–June 2023).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's volume of exports and services amounted to $8.7 billion (excluding non-monetary gold) from January through June 2024. This figure has increased by 12.9 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($7.7 billion in January–June 2023).
The main export partners of goods and services in the foreign trade turnover were Russia ($1.7 billion), China ($994.7 million), Kazakhstan ($619.8 million), and Türkiye ($596.8 million) from January through June 2024.
