TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 5. Uzbekistan exported 337,700 tons of onions for a total of $65.6 million from January through November 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country’s Statistics Agency shows that the recorded volume grew by 28 percent compared to the same period last year (263,800 tons in January-November 2023).
Concurrently, the volume of onion exports decreased to 12,600 tons in November 2024 compared to 16,300 tons recorded in October 2024.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan exported 1.89 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1.41 billion from January through November 2024. This figure increased by 15.9 percent compared to the same period last year (1.63 million tons from January through November 2023).
Russia became the largest importer of agricultural products from Uzbekistan, with a total volume of 776,500 tons worth $595.2 million.
