BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. A total of 77 trillion rials (about $187 million) worth of loans have been allocated in various fields in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Provinces located in the west of Iran over the past 3 years, deputy governor of Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Provinces Mohammad Kazem Monzavi said, Trend reports.

Loans, he claims, have created 54,800 jobs in the provinces of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.

Monzavi noted that 1,738 industrial and manufacturing enterprises are currently operating in the province. A total of 910 trillion rials (about $2.2 billion) have been spent on these enterprises. Construction work on these enterprises has not yet been completed. Once they are fully completed, they will play an important role in the development of the province.

The official stated that 163 mines are operating in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiyari Provinces. During last year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), six mine exploration projects were carried out in the province. These projects are now available to investors.

He emphasized that about 175,000 tons of products were exported from Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province during 5 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024).

To note, at the moment, industrial enterprises in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiyar provinces are producing products along with construction materials. The construction is 60 percent complete at 454 enterprises.
