4 militants killed in S. Afghanistan

Afghan and the U.S.-led Coalition forces killed four militants during an operation launched Thursday night in southern Afghan province of Helmand, said a Coalition statement issued here on Friday.
The combine forces raided a compound housing a mid-level Taliban commander responsible for attacks against Afghan civilians and Coalition Forces in Nad Ali District, the statement said.
"Arriving at the compound, the assault force killed two guards who attempted to engage the force," it said. "Two other armed militants were non-compliant and were killed during the assault on the building they occupied."
The riot Helmand has seen heavy fighting between the joint forces of Afghan government and international troops and the militants since March 30 during which at least 80 militants have been killed, reported Xinhua.
