Day of Heydar Aliyev in Astana on Dec. 11.
Heads of the diplomatic missions of Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan, Nur Otan party, Ak Orda
public movement, the Association of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Friendship, the Astana
diaspora of Azerbaijanis and journalists were in attendance.

Ambassador to Kazakhstan Latif Gandilov noted that "independent Azerbaijan" was established owing to the talent of Heydar Aliyev.
"With him the people regained confidence and their nation," he said.
Participants paid tribute to the President by a moment of silence.
According to Georgian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zurab Shurgaiya, owing to the
foresight of Heydar Aliyev today his transit projects ideas -
Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, became a reality. "It is
important that these projects became safety projects in the Caucasus," he said.
Ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine and Belarus spoke at the event.
A funeral repast in honour of Heydar Aliyev was organized at the end of the event.
