Azeri MP: Parliament to Reconsider Living Minimum

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizade / The member of the Azerbaijan Parliament's Permanent Commission on Social Policy, MP Malahat Hasanova, said on 9 April that Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament] will reconsider the living minimum.

She said that this issue is on the agenda. "We have much time until the end of the spring session. This issue is on the agenda and it is not excluded that it will be discussed at the spring session of the Parliament," Hasanova stressed.

In addition, the parliamentarian said that due to the expansion of the financial opportunities of Azerbaijan , the budget revenues are possible to be reconsidered. The necessity to reconsider the living minimum was caused by the decision of the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan to increase the energy resources prices.
