Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 7 / Trend corr R. Ergun / The Weightlifting Championship of Azerbaijan will be launched on Jan.8, a source at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sport told Trend .
The championship, to be held in the Palace of Hand Games, will involve all members of the Azerbaijani national weightlifting squad except Nizami Pashayev. Totally, the championship is expected to gather together about 100 athletes of the country.
The succeeding athletes of the championship will get a chance to partake in the European championship to be held in Rumania.
