In order to train our sportsmen for international sport tournaments, for them to become stronger for the 27th Summer Olympic Games to be held in Beijing in 2008, as well as to attract sportsmen for trainings, some 5.8 mln. AZN are envisaged to be given from the State Budget in the next year, Khagani Rzayev, Chief of a Department of the Finance Ministry, told during the today's discussion on the draft of On State Budget 2007, in the Permanent Commission for Culture of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), Trend reports.
Mr. Rzayev told that State Budget 2007 envisages giving a certain amount of means to certify libraries, improve work on providing the library funds with new books in Azerbaijani on the basis of the Roman letters, restore the book fund, as well as to develop tourism in the country. He also told that with the aim to improve the manpower training system, the Mingachavir Tourism College has been established.
