BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. On April 1, 2024, the total deposit portfolio of individuals and legal entities in Azerbaijan amounted to 34.8 billion manat, or $20.47 billion, Trend reports via the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The CBA data shows that this indicator decreased by 0.42 percent, or 146.5 million manat ($86.17 million), compared to the previous month.
Last month, the population withdrew more than 135 million manat, or $79.41 million, of deposits from banks. Thus, as of April 1 this year, the volume of deposits of individuals decreased by 135.1 million manat, or $79.47 million, compared to the previous month and amounted to 12.87 billion manat, or $7.56 billion, while the volume of deposits of legal entities decreased by 11.4 million manat, or $6.7 million, and amounted to 21.94 billion manat, or $12.93 billion.
As of April 1 of the current year, deposits of individuals increased by 286.3 million manat, or $168.4 million, compared to the beginning of the year, and deposits of legal entities decreased by 23.6 million manat, or $13.88 million.
