An expanded meeting was held at JSC "Passenger Transportation" (a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Railways) to summarize the results of transportation in 2024. During the meeting, it was noted that 2024 marked an important stage in the development of the National Carrier, demonstrating steady growth and significant results.
"Passenger trust is the most valuable currency, and our task is to meet their expectations by creating comfortable and high-quality transportation conditions. We aim to create a travel ecosystem where trains become part of a comprehensive service, including logistics, entertainment, access to media services, and integration with other modes of transport. One of the company's key strategic directions remains the renewal of the rolling stock," said Anuar Akhmetzhanov, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Passenger Transportation."
It was also noted that in 2024, 118 new domestic wagons were put into operation, manufactured at the factory in Petropavlovsk. Among them were six modern suburban trains that began to operate on the "Astana-Kurort Borovoye" route, providing passengers with a higher level of comfort.
To note, one of the key projects of 2024 was the launch of the new tourist route "Jibek Joly", which connects the cities of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan: Tashkent, Samarkand, Almaty, Turkestan, and Shymkent. As part of this project, two trips were organized, transporting more than 200 tourists.
