On April 3, the Turkmen Industry and Construction Materials Ministry issued an international tender to build a cement plant in the Lebap region - Koytendag district, 350 kilometers south-eastern of the Turkmenabat city's centre.
Tender bids should be submitted within 30 days since its announcement.
Customs duties on the imported cement production to Turkmenistan were temporarily abolished on Oct. 1 in 2008. The document was backed to improve the country's new buildings with this production.
