In the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22, 2019), Iran imported 8,930 tons of goods for $18.1 million via borders of its Kermanshah province, Khalil Heydari, an official with Kermanshah Customs Administration, Trend reports via IRNA.
Compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, the imports increased by 71 percent and 36 percent in terms of value and weight, respectively, Heydari said.
During the reported period, 8,100 tons of goods worth $11.7 million were imported via the province's Parvizkhan customs, Heydari said. He added that compared to the same period last year, imports through the customs increased by 90 percent in terms of weight, and by outstanding 496 percent in terms of value.
During the first four months of the current Iranian year, 715 tons of goods for $6.2 million were imported to Iran via Kermanshah customs, which is, compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, 68 percent more in terms of weight and 27 percent more in terms of value, the official said.
He added that during the reported period, 41 tons of goods worth $55,600 were imported via Khosravi customs, which is 100 percent more both in terms of weight and value, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
In total, customs of the province imported goods from 10 countries, Heydari said.
The province mainly imported goods from Iraq ($10.8 million; 6,800 tons), China ($2 million; 273 tons), South Korea ($1.55 million; 122 tons), he added.
