TEHRAN, Iran, June 20. Iran is negotiating to import vehicles valued under $10,000 from Europe, said Iran Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
"The government is preparing to review the auto-import plan leading to import of vehicles from Europe," he said.
He pointed out that Iran may start importing cars from Europe in September, about 2-3 months after the approval of the auto import plan.
He stressed that the focus is to import affordable vehicles under $10,000, as the government will also offer relatively new domestic models with improved quality and higher prices compared to older models.
