Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 February / Trend / Azerenergy transferred AZN 8.1mln to the state budget in January 2008, which is 2.1 times more compared to January 2007.
The increase in revenue to the state budget was because of the installation of meters and a rise in the price of energy for subscribers.
About 2.3bln kilowatts of electrical energy hour per was produced in Azerbaijan in January 2008 compared to 2.4bln kilowatts in January 2007.
About 2bln kilowatts per hour was produced from the thermoelectric power station and 0.3bln kilowatt per hour from the hydroelectric power station. Over 2.2bln kilowatt per hour was produced in the thermoelectric power station and 0.2bln kilowatt per hour in the hydroelectric power station in January 2007.
