Uzbekistan will complete constructing the installation to get propane-butane mixture at the Mubarek Gas Processing Plant worth $ 244 million in late 2011, a source in Uzbekneftegaz said.
It was planned to complete constructing of propane-butane mixture by late 2010.
Last summer, the project contractor Swiss Zeromax GmbH won the tender for the construction of propane-butane mixture at the Mubarek gas processing plant in 2008.
It stopped the construction work due to the termination of funding.
It was reported that according to the decision of the Tashkent City Economic Court in early May last year, all property of Zeromax in Uzbekistan, including cash were arrested.
The project is financed by a loan from the China Development Bank to the amount of $ 85 million, a loan from the Uzbek Reconstruction and Development Fund worth $55.4 million, own funds of Uzbekneftegaz - $53,6 million and Uzbek banks' loans totaling $ 50 million.
Uzbekistan ranks second on natural gas production among the CIS countries. It is among the ten largest gas producing countries in the world.
According to the State Committee, Uzbekistan reduced natural gas production by 2.1 percent - up to 60.112 billion cubic meters, liquefied gas production decreased by 0.2 percent - up to 245.700 tons.
