In 2011, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to supply 607 million cubic meters of gas to Georgia, a source in SOCAR told Trend on Tuesday.
In 2010 SOCAR exported 339.16 million cubic meters of gas to Georgia.
"Gas supplies to Georgia continues as normal, in particular, it is forecasted that in 2011 the figure will hit 607 million cubic meters," the source said.
SOCAR supplies its own gas to Georgia via the pipeline connecting the two countries in the Azerbaijani Gazakh region within its activity on the Georgian market. The capacity of the pipeline is about 3 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
The company operates 30 gas distribution networks, covering various Georgian regions through its enterprise SOCAR Georgia Gas.
