Baku, Azerbaijan, Aug. 21
By Ilkin Shafiyev - Trend:
The export of products of Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry (Belneftekhim Concern) to Azerbaijan amounted to $2.2 million in the first half of 2018, which is 14.1 percent more than in the same period last year, the state concern told Trend Aug. 21 with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.
“Close cooperation has been established between Belneftekhim and Azerbaijan,” the state concern said. “Belarus oil products, in particular, motor and lubricating oils, as well as AI 98 gasoline, were supplied to the Azerbaijani market. Tires for cars and light trucks, agricultural machinery and other production vehicles were shipped for exclusive dealer of Belshina OJSC - Azbelshin LLC. However, the Azerbaijani tire market is unattractive to the Belarus producer in terms of price.”
“Gomel Chemical Plant OJSC also supplied aluminum fluoride for the DETAL Aluminium LLC, while the SvetlogorskHimvolokno LLC supplied textured polyester yarns for XANNI-2017 LLC,” the Belneftekhim state concern noted.
The concern added that in 2018 no deliveries of Azerbaijani oil were carried out to Belarus. Oil swap operations weren’t conducted, either.
Earlier, Azerbaijan exported oil to Belarus, but later the sides didn’t agree on the crude's price. Azerbaijan sent the last cargo of about 500,000 tons of oil to Belarus in 2016.
