Farmers in Georgia can now register remotely using the website to receive incentives on diesel fuel under the state program "Agrodiesel", Trend reports via the Rural Development Agency.
Providing diesel fuel to farmers at preferential prices is one of the points of the government's program to help the village. The village development program aims to develop farms that own registered land. It is land registration that will become the main factor in assisting.
Levan Urotadze, head of the Agrodiesel program, noted that farmers have been using the advantages of the diesel fuel promotion program for the second year already. This year there is a novelty in the program - farmers can register and receive coupons through the website my.mepa.gov.ge
Farmers can also get discount cards at the regional branches of the Rural Development Agency.
The program provides for the issuance of fuel coupons in the amount of 150 liters per 1 ha, and more than 100 ha of agricultural land - no more than 15,000 liters of fuel coupons.
Throughout the country, diesel fuel is delivered according to the established schedule: from February 1 to March 31, no more than 2,000 liters of fuel will be dispensed, from April 1 to April 30 - an additional 1,500 liters, and from May 1 to December 31 - the remaining amount.
Within the framework of the program, the price of 1 liter when buying fuel at petrol stations is 1.16 lari (35 cents). And when purchased at the wholesale stores of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, which provides for the purchase of more than 1,500 liters, its cost is 1.07 lari (32 cents).
The program is being implemented based on a memorandum signed between the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture and SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, budget funds are not spent on it.
