Azerbaijan exported more than 12 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January through July 2021, which is 56.3 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the statistical report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
In value terms, gas exports from the country amounted to over $2 billion, the SCC said.
The share of gas in the total Azerbaijani export in the specified period amounted to 17.68 percent.
In 2020, Azerbaijan exported more than 12.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is 0.8 percent less than in 2019. Exports of natural gas in value terms amounted to about $2.19 billion, which is 7.2 percent more than in 2019.
