BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. The volume of card transactions of foreign citizens in Azerbaijan decreased by 5.88 percent or 10 million manat, which is $5.8 million (to 1.6 billion manat or $941.1 million) from January through September 2023, Trend reports.
The volume of card transactions of foreign citizens amounted to 1.7 billion manat ($999.9 million) year-on-year.
The data of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan shows that foreign citizens in Azerbaijan made transactions worth 186.9 million manat ($109.9 million) through bank cards in September 2023, 171.5 million manat ($100.8 million) in January, 162.3 million manat ($95.4 million) in February, 218.1 million manat ($128.2 million) in March, 126 million manat ($74.1 million) in April, 173.4 million manat ($101.9 million) in May, 148.6 million manat ($87.4 million) in June, 218.8 million manat ($128.7 million) in July and 200.9 million manat ($118.1 million) in August.
In addition, foreign citizens in Azerbaijan made transactions worth 2.2 billion manat ($1.2 billion) through bank cards in 2022.
