( dpa ) - Mac users are advised to download the latest version of Quicktime, Version 7.4, by Germany's BSI Federal Office for Security in Information Technology.
The new Quicktime version patches four security gaps from older versions. Nonetheless, a fifth method remains which could theoretically let hackers gain access to a computer.
Therefore, Mac users should continue to use caution when downloading RTSP-protocol ready streams from unknown sources, said the BSI.
