Babayeva / "Azerbaijan and Estonia will discuss the prospects of cooperation with regards to information technologies during the business forum to be held with the participation of officials of the two countries and ministries on Jan.13," head of Azerbaijani-Estonian chamber of commerce Yana Krimpe said on Jan.12.
According to Krimpe, a welcoming speech of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and his Estonian counterpart Toomas Hendrik Ilves, as well as speeches of the minister of economic development of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, minister of economy and communications of Estonia Yukhan Parts, deputy minister of communications and information technologies of Azerbaijan Elmir Valizade, representatives of AZPROMO, Estonian association of information technologies and telecommunications are expected to take place.
The reciprocal meetings of Estonian companies Helmes AS, Aktors OÜ, Datel AS with Azerbaijani companies DELTA, ULTRA, RISK, SINAM will be held as well.
"Estonia and Azerbaijan can realize mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of telecommunication and information technologies," President of Estonia told Trend earlier.
"Estonia considers that the government and its information system should develop altogether, information system should support the daily function of the government in the best way and be originated from the interest of population, entrepreneurs and other figures connected with the government," Ilves said.
According to Ilves, today Estonia has considerable results in the IT field, as well as several unprecedented and most original choices in the world such as online tax administration, online police, system of online choices and ID-cards.
"I believe that the cooperation between Estonia and Azerbaijan will be mutually beneficial," Ilves said.
