Kazakhstan-China Co-operation Committee to hold third meeting in Beijing

(gazeta.kz) - The third meeting of the Kazakhstan-China Co-operation Committee is due to take place November 17 in Beijing, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported Monday.

During the meeting of the Committee headed by VPM Karim Massimov form the Kazakhstani side and VPM Ou Yi from the Chinese side, the parties will review results of the subcommittees' activities, discuss implementation of the agreements, reached at the second meeting of the Co-operation Committee that took place in July 2005 in Astana, and define objectives and tasks for eh forthcoming year. "The third meeting of the Kazakhstan-China Co-operation Committee will results in a protocol," - the MFA press service said.

The Kazakhstan-China Co-operation Committee was established based on the intergovernmental agreement as of 17 May, 2004, during a state visit of Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, to PRC. The committee includes ten profile subcommittees and one joint commission, embracing nearly all areas of the bilateral co-operation between Kazakhstan and China, reports Trend.
