BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 5. Kyrgyzstan produced 19,746 tons of motor fuel in January 2025, which is 9.6 times higher than the 2,053 tons produced in the same period last year.

Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan shows that 16,093 tons of diesel fuel were produced, which is double the amount of 7,890 tons produced in January 2024.

However, the production of fuel oil amounted to 14,055 tons, representing a 14 percent decrease compared to the 16,387 tons produced in January 2024.

Overall, the value of refined petroleum production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 464.1 million soms ($5.3 million) in the reported month.

The value of manufacturing production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 30.941 billion soms ($353.8 million) in January 2025, which is a 6.7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The share of refined petroleum products in manufacturing industry totaled 1.5 percent, 55.7 percent came from the production of basic metals and fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment; 25.9 percent came from food products (including beverages) and tobacco products; 7.4 percent from rubber and plastic products, as well as other non-metallic mineral products; and 5.2 percent from textile production, clothing and footwear manufacturing, leather, and other leather goods
