BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. The total value of mutual trade between Tajikistan and China significantly increased in the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports referring to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
Tajikistan’s total trade turnover with China from January through March 2022 totaled $343.7 million, which is 2.5 times more compared to the same period of 2021 ($139.8 million).
Chinese exports to Tajikistan amounted to $242.4 million in the first quarter of 2022, which is an increase of 89.3 percent compared to $128 million in the same period of 2021.
The value of Tajikistan’s exported goods to China totaled $101.3 million from January through March 2022, which is 8 times more compared to $11.8 million in the reporting period of 2021.
