Uzbekistan reveals output volume of metallurgical industry

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 1. The output of Uzbekistan's metallurgical industry totaled 122.6 trillion soums ($9.6 billion) from January through September 2024.

The data obtained by Trend from the country's statistics agency showed that this figure increased by 36.5 percent year-on-year (89.8 trillion soums or $7 billion in January-September 2023).

The share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 23 percent.

At the same time, the volume of other non-metallic products reached 29.1 trillion soums ($2.2 billion) in the mentioned period. Compared to the same period last year, this volume increased by 48.4 percent (19.6 trillion soums, or $1.5 billion from January-September 2023).

The share of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 5.5 percent.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 629.2 trillion soums ($49.1 billion) from January through September 2024. This figure has increased by 36.8 percent year-on-year (459.9 trillion soums, or $35.8 billion in January–September 2023).
